Bubble Waffle Sundae at Disney Springs

I happened to be at a conference in Orlando this past weekend, and the hosting hotel connected to a pedestrian walkway that takes you directly into Disney Springs. So, my friend and I decided to pop in on our break! At the entrance, we passed Marketplace Snacks, which was open and serving bubble waffle sundaes! Groups of people were gathered around holding these gorgeous creations, and I couldn’t pass up on the opportunity for a sweet treat in the heat. Every time I’ve been to Disney Springs as of late, Marketplace Snacks has been closed, so I knew now was my chance to try the bubble waffle sundae.

They have a bunch of different types themed on all the main Disney characters: Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto. At the time, they also had a special Little Mermaid one to celebrate the new movie with Halley Bailey, too. My friend and I decided to split the “Goofy’s Peanut Grand Waffle Sundae,” which comes with vanilla and chocolate soft serve, hot fudge, peanuts, sliced bananas, sliced strawberries, M&Ms minis, and a cherry on top.

When they handed it over, my jaw dropped at how huge it was. It’s definitely made to be shared. The ice cream melted quickly in the Florida summer sun, but we kept up with it. Grab a bunch of napkins and try to sit down to eat this, because it gets messy fast. The soft serve luckily remained super cold throughout. This is the perfect treat to cool off with. The ice cream tasted sweet with a large amount of both chocolate and vanilla—ice cream was stuffed all the way into the bottom of the waffle cone. The peanuts added a wonderful touch of nutty flavor. Meanwhile, the strawberries and bananas tasted fruity and cool; plus, they remained fresh and firm. We got plenty of M&Ms that made for a fun crunch. The menu doesn’t mention that there’s also two sticks of chocolate-dipped Pocky sticking out of the top, too!

The waffle itself looked adorable. Each of the bubbles is shaped like a Mickey head. It’s not just aesthetically pleasing—it’s pleasing to the taste buds as well. The waffle was soft and buttery! The bubbles felt a bit fluffy while the edges were pleasantly crisp. I hope to try more of these on future visits!
