Dunkin’ Run: Butter Pecan Frozen Coffee and Sweet Black Pepper Croissant

Dunkin’ is my favorite fast food chain since I’m such a breakfast lover. I usually get the same things every time, but this week, I decided to try two new things: the Butter Pecan Frozen Coffee and the Sweet Black Pepper Croissant sandwich.

I absolutely love their Butter Pecan flavored drinks. But I’ve never tried their frozen coffee before. I needed to find out how it compares to a Starbucks frappuccino. Dunkin’ definitely holds its own against Starbucks with this. This frozen coffee was amazing! It came with so much whipped cream beautifully swirled on top. Usually Dunkin’ isn’t known for the craftsmanship of their drinks’ appearances, but I got lucky this time. Not only did it look great, but it tasted great, too! The coffee flavor was strong without being bitter at all. Like most of their drinks, it was sugary sweet. The Butter Pecan flavoring was rich, buttery, and nutty like you’d expect. I was surprised that the flavor was as intense as it was throughout the drink.

The Sweet Black Pepper Bacon Croissant tasted wonderful, too. The croissant was flaky, buttery, and warm. The edges were a bit brown, which I love. Some parts of the sandwich tasted like any other bacon egg croissant—I don’t think the bacon had the sweet black pepper well distributed on all of it, but the bites with those flavors definitely made this sandwich so much better. Plus, the bacon was near burnt and extra crispy—my favorite.
